March and Demonstration to Free the Cambridge Two |

| Thousands
joined the campaign in a march through London in support of John and Ruth.
The march started at 11.30 on Saturday 25th March and went from Speaker's
Corner at Hyde Park Corner through central London to Trafalgar Square where
there was a demonstration with speakers.

Bottomley, MP, comedian Mark Steele, and Rev. Ian Harker, of UNLEASH, the
church homelessness charity, addressed thousands of people at a demonstration
in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, March 25th, in support of the two Cambridge
homeless charity workers 'jailed for doing their job'. |

There were samba bands, stilt walkers and jugglers accompanying the march, and protest songs sung by folk singer Jansis Harvey and Dr Robert. |

| Bruce Kent had asked for the following statement to be read out at Trafalgar Square: 'I think the sentencing of the Cambridge Two was grossly unjust to people who were actually trying to get people off drugs and to give them a decent life. They should be released forthwith.' | ![]() |
